Questions and Answers
Can the Simplified Strategic Planning process be used by a Not-for-Profit organization?
Simplified Strategic Planning can most definitely be used by Not-for-Profit organizations. While the mission and financial structure of these organization may differ from their for-profit counterparts, their long-term success still requires the formulation and successful execution of a shared vision. Like any company, they must make choices as to the constituencies they will focus on, the products and services they will offer and how they will position themselves among alternatives for the resources of their chosen constituencies. They also have to pay careful attention to the competencies, capabilities and organizational structure that will best support their vision. While there may be the occasional need to modify a worksheet, the generic Simplified Strategic Planning templates should serve these groups well.
